Overview

Healthcare Travelink is a company that specializes in recruiting and staffing solutions for medical facilities in the United States.


The plataform was struggling with onboarding and registration flow issues, as well as information being sent outside of the system when hiring nurses, making it difficult to visualize data and monitor the status of applications.


Our redesign challenge was to make the platform more intuitive, with a organized document registration process, greater control over the user profile, and clear communication about new openings and the status of applications.

The first challenge was to understand the system and its workflows. I analyzed the registration process, contexts and mandatory documents, mapping journeys, system logic and interface components.

In order to extract as much information as possible from the interviewees, I used a narrative interview technique to develop the questions. This allowed us to extract good insights for visual improvement and opportunities for future implementation.

Identity and brand

Although a logo and visual identity had already been defined, I was free to choose the colors and fonts for the application. I chose a palette that dialogued with the color of the brand, but had a more friendly and commercial feel, rather than a corporate tone with a typographic choice that followed the same reasoning.

After gathering data and analyzing stakeholder strategies, I developed the initial redesign of the Healthcare Travelink app - a platform focused on the relocation and recruitment of healthcare professionals.

Application

The new design prioritized reducing barriers to registration, as many nurses felt confused by the extensive and mandatory process. To address this, I worked to break down the steps and clearly indicate progress, making orientation easier and promoting a more intuitive experience.

Expected results

The results the company expects from the redesign include an increase in the number of jobs started each month, a 90% retention rate among daily users, and a reduction in calls from nurses seeking assistance with the application process.

Key Learnings

Communicate value

A solid and reliable value proposition is essential for any business. However, external factors can influence how it is perceived, so it is essential to validate it frequently to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.

Agile initial research can demonstrate the value of user insights to stakeholders. Insights can be gained that challenge previous assumptions and contribute to more strategic, data-driven decisions.
